Capital Pressroom's David Lombardo will moderate as Syracuse mayoral candidates debate one another on an issue important to the city of Syracuse, public safety. Janet Burman, incumbent mayor Ben Walsh and Democratic candidate Khalid Bey will answer questions based on clips from WCNY's SPD: Reckoning and Reform documentary aired in October.

Congratulations to Khalid Bey on his primary victory.

He, Ben Walsh and I are providing voters with three distinct perspectives on priorities for our city - mine being public safety, delivery of essential city services to all our neighborhoods, and the support of our existing businesses.

I look forward to the opportunities we will have to present our respective leadership attributes.

I commend Mike Greene on his campaign and look forward to working with him in his role on the Council to make Syracuse a thriving city.
