are exploring the beautiful art of Korean calligraphy! 🇰🇷🖌️
elementary students learned about the traditional "Four Treasures of the Study"- mulberry paper, an ink stone, an ink stick, and a brush. Scholars then created their own ink by grinding the ink stick on the ink stone with water, a process that encourages a meditative state of focus.
Students put their new skills into practice by writing meaningful Korean words and phrases. One scholar wrote "love" and "trust," another practiced writing "hello," and Mx. Deadlock helped students write their first names.
This hands-on cultural experience allowed our students to connect language, art, and tradition in a meaningful way!

What a fantastic morning at SANY's very first 5K on Saturday, May 23!
Held at Willow Bay in Onondaga Lake Park, this event brought together staff, families, and friends for a day of fitness, fun, and team building. It was wonderful to see our SANY community come together to support one another and celebrate healthy living.
