๐ฅ๐โโ๏ธ Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New York ๐โโ๏ธ๐ฅ
This morning, University Police proudly participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run - Special Olympics New York. This annual event brings together law enforcement agencies from across the country to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes while carrying the Flame of Hope from one community to the next on its journey to the Opening Ceremonies.
A special thank you to our Guardians of the Flame, Officers Reynolds, Konkle and Portnoy, UPSA Morgan, and Dispatcher Feocco, for representing University Police and supporting this incredible cause.

Today, the Upstate University Police Department honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy each day.
We are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice. โค๏ธ๐ค๐

โ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ Monday afternoon, Assistant Chief Newcomb spent time with the kids during Law Enforcement Day at First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville.
AC Newcomb had the opportunity to share not only a rare sighting of the sun but also some important summertime safety tips, because, believe it or not, summer is right around the corner!
Thank you to everyone at First Presbyterian Church for the warm welcome and for allowing us to spend time with everyone!

๐ Our thoughts and prayers are with the officers of the Syracuse Police Department who were injured in the line of duty this past weekend.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Upstate Trauma team and emergency personnel for their quick response and outstanding care in helping our fellow officers begin their road to recovery.
๐ค๐๐ค Our thoughts and prayers are with the Syracuse Police Department and all the other agencyโs involved in todayโs incident at Tyler Court.
We stand in support of the injured officers, their families, and every first responder affected. Wishing strength, healing, and a full recovery to those injured, and safety for all those continuing to serve. ๐ค๐๐ค
