Today is May Day -- International Workers' Day!

Syracuse DSA was out at the May Day rally today, organized by , , and so many other organizations and unions.

We were glad to be in the streets with so many comrades. Today and everyday, let's build working-class power!

On Sunday, a crew of Syracuse DSA members showed up at the Dewitt, NY starbucks to show support for workers who are attempting to unionize! We send our solidarity to and all of .

The workers at the Dewitt store asked supporters to show up and order a drink under the name "Union Strong!" As you can see in one of the videos, there were many orders under that name! 🔥

We were happy to show support, as well as meet with workers from other stores who have already unionized!

🎉 It’s official! The Affordability Slate will be on the ballot for the Democratic primary on June 23! 🎉

Thanks to 100s of volunteers, the Affordability Slate turned in 2,300+ signatures to get on the ballot!

Collectively, in just the first month of the campaign, our chapter has helped the campaign accomplish so much!

We knocked on over 8,000 doors.
We had thousands of conversations with people at their doors.
We're building our collective people power.

Syracuse has become unaffordable for too many of our neighbors. Rent is too high. Childcare is out of reach. Getting across the city without a car is nearly impossible. We're running together because these problems don't stop at district lines and neither should the people fighting to fix them.
