On Saturday, May 16, the HHFD conducted an agricultural, wildland controlled burn drill. With Engine-6 on scene, supply line deployed and ready for connection if needed, Cadets, Bunk-ins and members got to watch unwanted brush burn.
The operation ran smoothly without incident. Fun photos by HHFD members Kathy Kathy Masters Kitt and Frank Valls.

Congratulations to HHFD Car-3 on your retirement after 20 years of service with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office. What a great send-off at the South Station this afternoon. You served the County citizens admirably. Fortunately for HHFD, we get to see you more often in service at the firehouse !!

Folks, This is Important ! On Friday, May 22 at the firehouse, the department is sponsoring another Red Cross Blood Drive in honor of Isaac Bishop. As you see from the poster below, Isaac is a cancer survivor!! Actually, he is thriving in college and is gracious to give of his time, supported by his family, to "pay it forward" to the Red Cross for all the blood he received during his cancer struggle.
He is an inspirational young man, and I am excited to have seen him mature over the years he and his family have been sponsoring this special donor date at Howlett Hill.
Please read the sign-up information on the poster below and schedule time to donate to the Red Cross and help save a life. Thank You!
