This month marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of Syracuse University's Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Resource Center. Founded to provide a socially conscious community for all and an affirming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, the Resource Center has served as a hub for connection, belonging, and community since 2001. In celebration of the 25th anniversary and LGBTQ+ History Month, the Special Collections Research Center is partnering with the Resource Center to host a pop-up exhibition of archival materials, including items from the Syracuse University Archives' collections like this Le***an and Gay Graduate Collective dance flyer from the Archives' Syracuse University Student Organizations Reference Collection. The pop-up exhibition will be held tonight, Thursday, October 22, 4-5:15pm on the first floor of Bird Library. All are welcome!
