As Fire Prevention Week 2026 (October 4–10) comes to a close, the Tabernacle Fire Department would like to thank everyone who joined us throughout the week!

It was great seeing so many families and children come out, meet our firefighters, explore the apparatus, and learn about the importance of fire safety.

A special thank you to our dedicated members who volunteered their time to make this week a success, and to our community for your continued support.

While Fire Prevention Week may be over, fire safety is important year-round. Remember to check your smoke alarms, practice your home fire escape plans, and stay safe!

This weekend, members of Tabernacle Fire Department completed Incident Safety Officer training.

The ISO plays a critical role on scene — keeping an eye on conditions, tracking crew safety, and making sure everyone goes home at the end of the call. Proud of our members for putting in the time to build this skill set.

Thanks to Atlantic County Fire Academy who helped put on the class. Also a huge shout out to 200 Club of Burlington County for the training grant provided to run the class. Training like this is what keeps our department sharp and our community safe.

It’s been a busy few nights for the members of Tabernacle Fire Department as multiple rounds of severe weather have kept our crews responding across the area.

During the church fire in Medford, our members responded. Shortly after another fire occurred here in Tabernacle. We quickly returned to assist regional cover units handle the incident in our own community while one of our apparatus remained committed in Medford, demonstrating the importance of mutual aid and teamwork.

Over the past two evenings, we’ve also provided mutual aid to two working house fires, in addition to responding to numerous storm-related incidents, including downed trees, wires, and brush fires.

Thank you to all of our dedicated members and our neighboring departments for your continued commitment to protecting our communities.

Stay safe, and remember to use caution around downed wires and storm debris.

Check out our members in action from last weekend’s water supply drill!

The Joint Base Mcguire Dix Lakehurst Fire Department requested our transfer engine to help support the operation. Training opportunities like these strengthen teamwork, improve coordination, and ensure we’re prepared to respond when our communities need us most.

Our members continue to train on large-scale water supply operations, a critical skill in our rural community where hydrants are not available. This training ensures our firefighters are ready to respond when the call comes.

This Saturday morning (6/20), our members will be participating in a large water supply exercise in Vincentown alongside numerous surrounding fire agencies. Residents may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles in the area. This is a planned training exercise, and there is no cause for concern.

Please use caution while traveling through the area and follow all directions provided by fire police personnel.

This past weekend, 4316 ran a tender shuttle operation where the units on site were able to sustain approximately 4,000 gallons of water at the peak of the evolution. Thanks for JCK Academy for the invite!

Our members continue to train and build on their knowledge of water supply operations, and we will be continuing that training over the next few weeks with Vincent Fire Company, who is currently hosting a water supply class.

It’s been a busy few days for our volunteers.

Earlier this week, we welcomed National Fire Radio for a walkthrough of Tender/Engine 4312 and the opportunity to showcase the apparatus and our department.

Thursday evening, our members took part in live fire training to sharpen their skills and stay prepared for real-world emergencies.

Then on Friday night, Quint 4314 and Tender 4316 responded on mutual aid to Browns Mills, where crews assisted with mop-up operations.

We’re proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show, whether it’s through training or answering the call to help neighboring communities.

Last night, members of the department spent the evening conducting live fire training, focusing on fire attack, search and rescue, hose line advancement, ventilation, and teamwork under realistic conditions.

Trainings like this help keep our members prepared for the calls we respond to every day and allow us to sharpen the skills.
