🎀 Think Pink! 💗

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, support those currently fighting breast cancer, and encourage everyone to prioritize their health.

At Visiting Angels of Tacoma, we believe that care goes beyond helping with daily needs. It’s about compassion, connection, and being there for one another through life’s challenges. 💕 We proudly stand with individuals and families affected by breast cancer and encourage everyone to schedule routine screenings, know their family history, and talk with their healthcare provider about their breast health.

Together, we can spread awareness, share hope, and remind one another that no one has to face their journey alone. 🌸

🍝 **It’s National Pasta Day… and apparently we have some strong opinions around here. 😂**

We asked the Visiting Angels Tacoma team to name their favorite pasta dishes — and now we’re hungry, slightly divided, and questioning anyone who didn’t immediately have an answer. ❤️

From classic spaghetti to creamy Alfredo, baked lasagna, mac & cheese, and everything in between, there’s just something about a big bowl of pasta that feels like **home.**

Now we need to know…

Today, we participated in the Health Care Providers Council of Pierce County (HCPC) Making the Link event, an annual Senior and Disability Resource Fair and Networking Event.

This event brings together case managers, discharge planners, social service providers, volunteers, and community members to connect with valuable resources and services for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Exhibitors shared information on a wide range of services, including Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Health, Hospice, Elder Law, Durable Medical Equipment, and Transportation.

The event also provided approved continuing education opportunities for eligible case managers.

*Making the Link* is a wonderful opportunity to build connections, share resources, and strengthen our community’s support for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families.
