Meet our Admissions Team—a small but mighty group of women with big hearts and a passion for finding solutions.

Navigating long-term care can feel like earning a PhD in a subject no one signed up to study. Our team helps families make sense of the options, understand what is possible, and find the right path forward.

Behind every admission is a deep dive into the whole person—because delivering top-tier care means honoring the individual and supporting the staff entrusted with their care. We’re proud of the work we do, the fun we share, and the people we serve. 💚

What an unforgettable day for veterans from all five of our Cascade Senior Living Services communities, who took to the skies in a WWII-era biplane as part of the Spirit of ’45 veteran flights! ✈️🇺🇸 We are incredibly grateful to AgeRight and AgeRight Advantage for sponsoring this experience and helping create a day filled with adventure, recognition, and memories our veterans won’t soon forget. To the veterans we have the privilege of serving: thank you for your service—and for reminding us that some heroes still soar.

Cascade Senior Living Services was proud to sponsor the Pierce County Senior Luncheon, bringing together more than 200 seniors, caregivers, care receivers, and community partners for a day of connection and appreciation. 💚 We’re especially proud of our own Danielle Verrue for helping make this partnership possible and for continuing to build connections that strengthen the community we serve. Because aging well takes a community—and we’re grateful to be part of one that shows up for each other.

What happens when you ask an entire team to line up by height? Apparently… this. 😂

Before kicking off their monthly All Staff Meeting, the Cascade Park Gardens team was given a seemingly simple challenge: line up from shortest to tallest.

They mostly understood the assignment. 😄

But the laughter, collaboration and chaos actually capture exactly why we make time for All Staff.

In senior living, teams work around the clock. Day shift, evening shift and night shift can easily become separate worlds—with coworkers contributing to the same mission without ever really getting the opportunity to know one another.

All Staff is one way we intentionally break down those silos.

Each month, our team comes together to build relationships, strengthen or learn new skills, hear about what is happening across our organization, and—equally important—have some fun together.

Because culture isn't built in a handbook.

It's built when people know one another.

When we understand the person behind the position, it's easier to appreciate the challenges of another shift, communicate with compassion, give one another grace, and recognize that every role contributes to the care our residents receive.

That investment in connection ultimately makes us a stronger team—and a better community for the people who call Cascade Park Gardens home.

And judging by this photo, team spirit was not in short supply. 💚

20 Years of Growth, Dedication & Impact — Celebrating Janelle Ryan!

Twenty years ago, Janelle began her journey with Cascade as an Adult Day Health Program Aide. What followed is a wonderful example of what can happen when talent, commitment, curiosity and opportunity grow together.

Over the past two decades, Janelle has served our organization as:
ADH Program Aide → ADH TBI Program Coordinator → ADH Social Services Coordinator → ADH Administrator → Director of Accounting

Each role brought new responsibilities and new ways for Janelle to serve our residents, clients, employees and organization.

Today, as our Director of Accounting, Janelle's work may happen largely behind the scenes, but its impact is felt everywhere. Her financial leadership helps keep our doors open, our organization strong, and our mission of serving our community moving forward.

Janelle's story is also something we deeply value at Cascade: people don't just grow in our communities—they grow within our organization. Her 20-year journey represents connection, perseverance, professional growth and an extraordinary commitment to the people and mission she has served along the way.

Janelle, thank you for 20 incredible years. Thank you for growing with us, leading with us, and helping build the organization we are today. We are incredibly fortunate that your path has been part of ours. 💚

Here's to everything you've helped build—and everything still ahead.

Our Pete the Cat-themed Backpack Bash was a wonderful success! 🐾🎒 People’s Senior Living residents helped fill backpacks with school supplies for employees’ children across all our buildings. It was a fun and meaningful way to support our staff and help their students begin the school year prepared and excited!

Mentoring in Action! ⛳💚

Our August Mentor Meeting combined team building, learning, welcoming new mentors and a little friendly competition at Tower Lanes on 6th.

And somewhere between the putting, cheering and hilarious misses, we watched great mentoring happen naturally:

Encourage. Teach. Listen. Adapt. Clarify. Include. Lead by example.

One of our biggest conversations was about giving people grace while they learn. Needing something explained again—or explained differently—doesn't mean someone can't succeed. Great mentors adjust how they teach and create a space where asking questions feels safe.

Because mentorship isn't about having all the answers. It's about helping someone else grow confident enough to find theirs.

A big thank-you to our mentors for the time, patience and leadership they invest in others—and to Tower Lanes on 6th for giving our crew such a fun place to learn, laugh and connect.
