Yesterday, Team Rita had quite the adventure! 🐈⬛🚒
We learned that Shadow, a kitty in our district, had been stuck high up in a tree for FIVE DAYS! 😱
Despite several rescue attempts, including an earlier visit from the fire department, poor Shadow just kept climbing higher. The wonderful folks at South Orlando Animal Hospital had tried everything they could think of, but nothing was working.
Thankfully, my friends at the Orange County Firefighters stepped in and reached out to Fire Station 55 in Meadow Woods, whose crew came to the rescue!
They pulled out the ladder, climbed up, and safely brought Shadow back down to earth! 🐾
A HUGE thank you to our incredible firefighters for going above and beyond. You truly are our heroes!
And a special thank you to South Orlando Animal Hospital for refusing to give up on Shadow and advocating for his safe reunion with his human.
Sometimes serving our community means helping our four-legged constituents, too!
