🚦 Rail Safety Week 2026 🚂

All week long, the Florida Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) Team has been working alongside law enforcement and railroad partners statewide to bring awareness to rail safety and the importance of making safe decisions around railroad crossings.

Through campaigns like See Tracks? Think Train! and Operation Clear Track, we’re proud to stand with our partners in reminding Floridians that every crossing matters.

This week is all about rail safety education and reminding everyone:
✔️ Always stay alert near tracks

🇺🇸 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟏 — 𝟐𝟓 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨. 𝙒𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙉𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, the memories remain.

We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken too soon. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember the families who never got to say goodbye.
The heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The courage that emerged from unimaginable tragedy.
And the unity that reminded us what it means to be Americans.

A quarter of a century has passed, but the promise remains:

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🕯️

No excuses this Saturation Saturday....

Law enforcement agencies across the country are stepping up impaired driving enforcement between now and Labor Day weekend - and MADD is standing with them.

High-visibility enforcement is happening because impaired driving kills.

If you choose to drive impaired, you risk getting caught. More importantly, you risk taking someone’s life.

Before you celebrate tonight, make a plan to get home safely.

🚗 Designate a sober driver.
📱 Call a rideshare.
🏠 Stay overnight.
🚌 Use public transportation.

Have a plan. Stick to it. Get home safe.
