💜 Florida Kicked Off Recovery Month STRONG! 💚
What an incredible way to begin Recovery Month 2026! Our First Annual Statewide Recovery Month Kick-Off brought together 152 people from across Florida to celebrate recovery, connection, lived experience, and the power of a united recovery community.
A very special thank you to our Keynote Speaker, Senator Rosalind Osgood, for sharing such a powerful message of hope, inspiration, and resilience. We are also incredibly grateful to our panelists: Allan Davidson (CEO, CFBHN), Suzette Fleischmann (CEO, BBHC), and Susan Nyamora (CEO, SFWN) whose experiences, perspectives, and commitment helped bring the vision of a stronger recovery ecosystem to life.
Thank you to every RCO, Managing Entity, provider, peer, family member, community partner, advocate, and recovery champion who joined us. This is what a recovery ecosystem looks like when we come together.

One State. Many Journeys. One Recovery Ecosystem.
And this was only the kickoff. Recovery Month is officially underway across Florida! 💜🦋

If you are in St Pete stop by the new Recovery Cafe

A special cafe opened Monday to help those who are going through recovery from addiction. It's a place to grab a cup of coffee and chat with someone to know you're not alone. FOX 13 photojournalist Cody Bergquist reports.

While in Tallahassee, we also had the opportunity to stop in and visit the Recovery Opportunity Collective, Inc. It is always great to connect with fellow Recovery Community Organizations, share ideas, and see recovery in action across Florida.

So many great conversations, connections, and opportunities to strengthen recovery across our state. What a great week! 💜

This week, Floridians for Recovery and South Florida Wellness Network had the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation with Amanda Van Laningham and Heather Allman from the Florida Department of Children and Familess about ways we can continue to strategize, collaborate, and come together to make Florida’s recovery community stronger.

We are grateful for the partnership and shared commitment to strengthening recovery supports across our state.
