🚑 An Eventful Week at Tamaqua Ambulance! 🚑

It’s been an exciting week of progress, improvements, and new additions here at Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association!

🏢 Training Room Improvements

We recently completed the first step in upgrading our training room with the installation of new flooring! This is just the beginning of our plans to modernize the space and create an improved environment for continuing education, hands-on training, and professional development for our providers.

🚑 Welcome, 6504!

We’re also excited to announce the arrival of our newest ambulance, 6504!

Over the coming days, 6504 will undergo licensure, with plans to officially enter service next week!

Once operational, 6504 will serve as our primary non-emergency transport unit, while also supporting community events and providing additional 911 coverage when needed.

These improvements represent our continued commitment to investing in our organization, supporting our dedicated personnel, and ensuring we have the resources necessary to serve our communities.

We’re excited about the progress being made and look forward to sharing even more improvements in the future!

Happy National First Responders Day!

From the late-night calls to the moments that stay with us long after the shift ends, being a first responder means showing up for others, no matter what.

Today, we want to thank our Tamaqua Ambulance crews and every first responder who gives their time, heart, and dedication to serving others. Our communities are stronger because of you!

Take a moment today to thank a first responder. A simple thank-you can mean more than you realize!

Thank you, to all of our people💙

🚑 Stronger Together. Serving Our Communities. 🤝

Emergency services are built on more than just responding to calls. They’re built on teamwork, friendship, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the communities we serve.

Tonight, Tamaqua Ambulance is proud to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) standby coverage for the Saint Clair Parade alongside our friends and colleagues at Schuylkill EMS, Saint Clair EMS, and Tremont EMS!

Events like these are a great reminder that while we may wear different uniforms and represent different organizations, we all share the same mission: providing the highest level of care and service to those who depend on us.

Strong interagency relationships are essential to emergency medical services. By working together, supporting one another, and building lasting friendships, we strengthen not only our individual organizations but the emergency services system as a whole.

Different agencies. One mission. One team. 🚑💙

🚨Another Busy Day for Tamaqua Ambulance 🚨

The wheels haven’t stopped turning, and neither have our crews! It’s been a nonstop couple of days here at Tamaqua Ambulance, with our crews staying busy answering calls.

🚑💨 Between yesterday and today, our crews have rolled out the doors 23 times to answer calls for service across our coverage area. When including calls upgraded from Basic Life Support (BLS) to Advanced Life Support (ALS), that number climbs to 25 responses!

Through it all, our dedicated EMTs and Paramedics continue to answer the call, providing professional, compassionate care to those who need it most.

👏 A huge thank you to our crews for their continued hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our communities. Whether it’s the first call of the shift or the tenth, our crews are always ready to respond.

🚑 A Family Affair in EMS!

Today, DC Shearn was requested by A6402 for an ALS rendezvous involving a patient experiencing breathing problems.

The catch? A6402 happened to be staffed by his brother and sister — EMT C. Peters & EMT K. Peters!

The crew rendezvoused with Paramedic Shearn, assisted with ALS care, and transported the patient to a local hospital for further treatment.

It’s not every day you get to work a call alongside family, but we love to share these stories when they come around!🚑💙

🚑 It’s been a busy day at TCAA!

Just before 8:30 AM, our BLS ambulance and Medic Chase Unit were dispatched to Schuylkill Township for an ALS fall victim. Less than 15 minutes later, a second ALS fall was dispatched in Tamaqua Borough.

With our primary crews committed, our dedicated non-emergent transport crew who were not committed elsewhere immediately placed their ambulance in service and responded. Due to an extended mutual-aid ALS ETA, our BLS crew handled the call and transported the patient to the hospital.

A great example of our crews managing our inner agency resources to ensure coverage when multiple emergencies occur at once. Always ready. Always serving. 🚑💙
