Memory Lane Cottage is an exclusive community dedicated to Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and related disorders. All rooms are private and contain a huge bathroom, with roll-in open showers. The monthly rate includes medication management, 3 showers per week, housekeeping 4 days per week, toileting every 2 hours, 3 meals and 3 snacks per day (additional snacks are available 24/7 to promote calorie intake and hydration). Rooms are available furnished free of charge (however families can choose to replace our items with their own). Rooms are also furnished with a flat screen TV and basic cableand wifi. Each room opens up to a central living room with a fireplace, and our community dining room, with open kitchen, allowing residents to talk to the chef, and watch their meal being prepared. Spacious secured courtyard, gardens, and covered patios are open for the residents and families to use. Extensive list of activities provides socialization, skill building, and life enrichment. Let us show you, that the joy of life doesn't have to end with a diagnosis of dementia/Alzheimer's! (Memory Care doesn't have to!)

Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger III is approaching his Alzheimer’s diagnosis with the same focus that helped him save 155 lives during the “Miracle on the Hudson.”

The famed pilot, 75, opened up about living with the progressive brain disease in his first broadcast interview since his August 2025 diagnosis, telling Robin Roberts on the Wednesday, Sept. 23 episode of Good Morning America that his experience landing US Airways Flight 1549 in New York City’s Hudson River has helped prepare him for the challenge ahead.

“Oh yeah, I’ve gone through harder things than this before,” Sullenberger said when Roberts asked whether he draws strength from the 2009 emergency landing.

“You have to devise a plan, execute that plan flawlessly for the first time, never having done that before, and save every life in 208 seconds,” he continued. “Had even one person not survived, I would have considered it a tragic failure. I would have felt deeply for the rest of my life.”

“So I think we’re doing the same thing here,” he added. “We’re focusing clearly on the highest-priority items first, and we are ignoring everything we don’t have time to do as being only distractions and unimportant.”

Everyone got to help stuff and fluff our new embroidered pillows. What a great way to facilitate team work and hand eye coordination, as well as experiencing different textures and colors! Although they were intended for the living room, some have already been commandeered by residents. It's OK! That just gives us another reason to make some more :) We love making pillows!
