The Hillsborough County Tax Collector's office kicked off Donate Life Month today and Mayor Jane Castor presented Louis G. Betz Jr.'s family with a Proclamation by the City of Tampa stating that April 1, 2026 was Louis Betz Jr. Day! We are all carrying on his legacy by advocating for organ donation and continuing to share his story of a second chance at life.

We are thankful to the Florida Renal Association for their donation to More Transplants More Life and for recognizing the work that our founder Louis Betz Jr. has done. "Florida Kidney Day, organized by the FRA, is intended to educate elected officials on the significance of dialysis treatment and proper kidney care as they work on a budget and seek to pass legislation to fund health care."
