The Tempo and the overall ENCORE! community, are named in honor of the rich musical history of Downtown Tampa's Central Avenue in its heyday – where Ray Charles recorded his first song, the famous dance move and song "The Twist" were born, and legendary jazz artists Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday and Cab Calloway visited often to perform in what was known then as "Harlem South."

Our friends at our on site have opened the farm store today!

The farm store will be open until 1pm. They have a wide variety of vegetables available - stop by and take a look around at this amazing urban farming operation in the heart of downtown Tampa.

We couldn’t be more excited for them, our city, and Encore!

Though, his birthday is on January 15th, the third Monday of January is set aside to celebrate him.

We celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., an influential American civil rights leader. His work to end racial segregation on public transport and for racial equality in the United States is work that we will all forever be grateful for.
