The Hillsborough County Commission on the Status of Women is now accepting nominations for the Women’s Hall of Fame Class of 2026!

The Hall of Fame was created in 2011 to honor and celebrate the achievements of Hillsborough County women who have made significant contributions in areas such as business, education, philanthropy, the military, and public service to improve the lives of residents of Hillsborough County.

The Hillsborough County Commission on the Status of Women have the honor of selecting the YEA! Award winners each year.

Know as student in Hillsborough County making a difference in the community? Nominations are currently open through September 12.

For Previous Winners of County's YEA! Awards, the Honor Remains The awards have touched the lives of many students; 2024 application deadline is Sept. 12

The Board of County Commissioners created the YEA! Awards in 2010 to recognize Hillsborough County students for making a difference in their community. The award recipients show initiative, innovation, and commitment to themselves and others, while pursuing excellence in a leadership capacity. This can be demonstrated in academics, community service, athletics, performing arts, conservation, or other areas.

As selected by the Commission on the Status of Women members, the Women’s Hall of Fame Commendations were presented today by Commissioner Gwen Myers, on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, to Ms. Marsha Passmore and Ms. Alex Sink for their arduous commitment to serve their community.
