Beginning Monday, August 30, 2021 Tyer Temple UMC will be a hosting drive-thru COVID-19 testing in the north parking lot of our 15th Street Campus. The north lot is on the corner of E. 26th Ave & Sanchez St. Cars will enter through Sanchez Street and exit to 26th Ave. Both PCR and Antigen tests will be available.



Begin operations on 08/30
Hours will be 8am-6pm
Days of operation will be Monday – Saturday
Site will be a drive-thru in the north parking lot
Test type: antigen (rapid results) and pcr (results in 24-48 hours)

The CDC of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) and volunteer Fire Fighters will facilitate the Youth Fire Introduction Resources and Education (Youth F.I.R.E.) STEM Program. Youth F.I.R.E. will provide career exploration, fire science, short term certifications and mentorship.



The primary goal is to recruit and educate a diverse group of local high school youth about the Fire Department and introduce First Responder careers such as Police, Emergency Medical Technicians, and others emergency operations in a safe, supportive team environment. The Youth F.I.R.E. program consists of instructor led training and group activities where students will learn what it takes to be a first responder and gain awareness of science and math associated with fire and emergency safety.



This program will recruit and provide training to 15 high school youth interested in a career as Fire Fighter and or First Responder. High School participants will obtain certifications in First Aide/CPR, Fire Safety and Bring Your A Game to work. (Students must be entering high school this fall, a current high school student or a 2021 high school graduate)

The Florida Department of Children and Families would like to make sure all of our agency partners are aware of a state-side program for relief assistance. Our Florida is Florida’s federally-funded emergency rental assistance relief program to support residents and businesses as they continue to recover and rebuild. OUR Florida provides renters who qualify with relief on unpaid rent and utility bills, and supports landlords and utilities with relief on lost revenue to support their continued recovery.
