U.S. Army Reserve AGR Oppertunities!!!!!

On this Day June 6th, 1944, American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. The world now knows this as D-Day. It was the largest amphibious invasion in history. More than 160,000 Allied troops -- about half of them Americans --invaded Western Europe. Men of great courage, not because they did so with out fear, but because they were scared as hell yet loaded up and headed into the valley of the Shadow of death. More than 4,400 of those men lost their lives on those beaches on this day in 1944. Today we remember them but as General George Patton said " It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived" for through their sacrafice the Allies were able to overwhelm the German forces in an operation that proved to be a turning point in World War II and the fall of Hitler's Germany. For on this this day in 1944, Those men stormed the gates of hell and emerged victorious. All they will ever ask of you in return is to Remember.

The U.S. Secret Service is requesting the Army's help in connecting Special Forces Soldiers with numerous employment opportunities within the Secret Service. IMCOM is assisting the U.S.Secret Service with canvassing our Installations for candidates to apply for a number of positions within the agency. Qualified candidates will undergo several assessments in a one-day period which reduces the processing time from 4 months to one-day. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Applications are currently being accepted. Application window is 7-21 April 17. Travel is at applicant expense to interview areas.

The Army Reserve Private Public Partnership (P3) Partner Finds Unique Way to Honor Veterans

Wear Blue: Run to Remember (WB:R2R) is a national nonprofit running community that honors the service and sacrifice of military veterans. WB:R2R has created a support network for military members and their families, bridged the gap between military and civilian communities, and created a living memorial for our country’s fallen Service members.
There are hundreds of WB:R2R chapters located throughout the United States, and runners meet on a weekly basis to show their support. At the beginning of each run, the names of Service members killed during the Global War on Terror are called out in a Circle of Remembrance. Subsequent to this event, runners call out the names of the individuals they are honoring during the run.
At official wear blue events, runners create a Wear Blue Milethat features posters with photographs of fallen Service members and American flags are held by volunteers. The Wear Blue Mile is a moving tribute that honors and humanizes the ultimate sacrifice made by these American heroes.
