🩸 Stop the Bleed Training Recap 🩸

This month, USF CERT and USF SCOPE hosted a Stop the Bleed training, where participants learned simple, hands-on skills to control severe bleeding and help save a life.

With severe bleeding becoming life-threatening in as little as 3–5 minutes, knowing how to respond before first responders arrive can make all the difference. During the session, attendees practiced lifesaving techniques like applying pressure, packing wounds, and using tourniquets.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and took the time to learn how to be the help before help arrives. Your willingness to step up and learn these skills helps make our community stronger and more prepared.

Whether you’re licensed or brand new, there’s a role for you—radio operations, message logging, equipment setup, and possible PIO opportunities. No FCC license? No problem! You can operate with a licensed operator right beside you.
