Today, we pause to remember the heroes who gave their lives while serving our nation. Memorial Day is not only about remembrance, but also about gratitude for those who courageously placed service above self.

On behalf of Tampa Fire Rescue, I extend my deepest appreciation to the families of our fallen military heroes. Their loved ones’ sacrifices will never be forgotten, and their legacy will continue to live on in the values of duty, honor, and service

Recently, I had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker for the Athena Society May luncheon, celebrating the recipients of the Phyllis P. Marshall Career Assistance Grants.

It was inspiring to stand alongside so many incredible women leaders and to recognize women working hard to pursue their educational and career goals. Organizations like the Athena Society continue to create meaningful opportunities for women through mentorship, collaboration, and leadership development, helping pave the way for future generations.

Congratulations to all of this year’s grant recipients. Your dedication, perseverance, and ambition are truly commendable, and I look forward to seeing the impact each of you will make in our community and beyond. 💜

Today, we celebrate the strength, compassion, and unconditional love of mothers everywhere. 💐

From comforting families during difficult moments to caring for loved ones at home after long shifts, the mothers of Tampa Fire Rescue embody service both on and off duty. Your sacrifice, resilience, and faith-filled leadership inspire us every day.

Today, I had the pleasure of attending the Pace Center for Girls, Hillsborough “T-Talk,” where I had the opportunity to connect with an incredible group of young ladies in a conversation centered on truth, growth, and inspiration.

Moments like these matter. It’s so important for our girls to see that success doesn’t have just one look, and that where you start does not determine where you’re capable of going.

Keep believing. Keep growing. Keep becoming. The future is yours. 💛✨

Today, I had the honor of attending the Youth Empowerment Summit at Hillsborough High School, hosted by FIVEandTWO Solutions Group, Inc.

It was an incredible opportunity to speak life into our youth and celebrate their strength, potential, and vision for the future. Our young people are capable of achieving great things, and moments like this remind me how important it is to pour into them, encourage them, and stand beside them as they grow.

Let’s continue to inspire confidence in our decisions, uplift one another, and empower the next generation to build the lives they envision.

As Fire Chief of , I’m proud to place Rescue 10 in service today, now serving East Tampa.

This marks another step toward my strategic plan to place a dedicated rescue unit in every fire station across the City of Tampa. From Rescue 19 in South Tampa, to Rescues 250 & 251 in North Tampa, Rescue 6 now serving Downtown Tampa, Channelside, and Ybor City, and Rescue 12 in West Tampa, we are building a stronger, faster, more capable response system.

I made a commitment, and I will continue the work: until every station is equipped to serve at the highest level. We are strengthening the lifeline our community depends on. Today, we are one step closer to fulfilling that vision.

I had the privilege of calling the following individuals to promote and assign them to the next stage of their careers here at Tampa Fire Rescue.
