The Historical Monument Trail will wind around Tampa’s Riverwalk along the Hillsborough River and Garrison Channel, in what will serve as a source of pride for the Tampa community. The Historic Trail will use busts, statues and monuments to educate the public about significant events and noteworthy people that have shaped the history of Tampa and Hillsborough County.

When you're out walking the Riverwalk, wouldn't it be nice to be able to buy a bottle of ice cold water or maybe an ice cream cone? Well, Friends of the Riverwalk is now providing ice cream and cold water vending along the Riverwalk in the Cotanchobee Park area. Friends has teamed with local vendor, Screaming Delicious Ice Cream, to begin service on weekend afternoons beginning immediately. If this trial works well, service would be extended to the weekdays. Many thanks to the City's Parks and Recreation Department for expediting the permitting process and being a great partner in providing this needed service.
