FIP’s very own Chief Clarence Hunter, presents Fair and Impartial Policing strategies at Virginia Commonwealth University. Not only is he an Fair & Impartial Policing Master National Instructor, he’s also the Chief of Police for VCU Police Department.
A note from the desk of Chief Clarence Hunter:
"Yesterday evening, I spoke to Dr. Chernoh Wurie’s class and presented about Fair and Impartial Policing. I told the class that I wanted to build our legitimacy with them; they are our community. We will do this using trust, respect, neutrality and giving them voice. I was asked what was my main goal. . . I said 'to uphold the constitutional rights of all people.'"
Chief Hunter comes to VCU Police as a national instructor in Fair and Impartial Policing practices. He has trained agencies like the NYPD, Chicago PD and Memphis Police.
