This is madness!!!
Native Tampanians can no longer afford to keep their homes and/or live in their hometown/communities because it has been made so ridiculously expensive.
New money rolls in from out of state & foreigners buying everything up and making everything sky rocket.
City council, mayor and all other officials put little thought and effort in how this mass influx of people would affect and continue to effect every aspect of peoples life; regardless what part of Tampa u live in.
It’s shameful. Many folks are retirees living on fixed incomes that are being impacted by this drastic financial ambush.
Between property taxes, health & property insurance and TECO electric; many find themselves worrying about wether they are going to be able to pay their bills and maintain their homes after years of working and planning gor their golden years.
And for those that are always critical of South Tampa maga homes this and that… U need to really look around - because these types of homes, along with others are popping up all over Tampa. We’re ever there is a plot of land they will stick/ built a oversized home.
Keep in mind, many that live in South Tampa don’t live in a maga home fyi. And for the most part many residents have sold their properties for various reasons. But, I can sssure you of one reason; and is that they can not afford living in the community they have lived all their lives. Most homes in South Tampa, like West Tampa, & other communities are being sold to many out state people running away from their crime infected cities or the properties are sold to greedy developers.
Who do you think is buying up all these new homes been built? Is not the majority of native Tampanians - - because they can not afford them.

(The information regarding this meeting seems to be buried deep in the Tampagov.net website) If you can't make the meeting in person, you...
