Trick or treating is at 6-8pm tonight, officers will be located throughout the neighborhoods handing out glow sticks!

We are so excited to join the festivities on Halloween with our yearly Pedestrian Safety Initiative 🍬 With trick-or-treaters out and about, pedestrian visibility matters. That’s why we’ll be handing out 3,000 glow sticks this year at more than 10 different locations throughout the city:

🚧TRAFFIC ALERT - HALLOWEEN 5K RUN 🚧

EFFECTIVE: October 31st, 2026 at 8:45am.

Our local 5k Halloween “Munster Run” begins at 8:45am on 10/31 - PLEASE use caution when driving in the below marked roadways. There will be patrol vehicles moving with the runners, so remember to MOVE OVER (it’s the law!)

Plan accordingly for delays or temporary road closures. Thank you for cooperation and understanding as we keep our participants safe!

Stumptown Rd is expected to be closed from 9am until 1pm tomorrow, 10/27/2026 between the county line and Amicus St, for tree work along the roadway.

Taneytown Liquors is hosting a Halloween event today that’s family friendly from 5pm - 7pm if you’re looking for something to bring the little ones too in costume. In addition to activities for everyone, they’ll have food trucks & are hosting a pet parade!

They’ll have food trucks out before then, so if you’re looking for a quick bite or to check out the setup before the start, be sure to head on out there. They’ll also have vendors setup throughout the day selling all sorts of goodies.

While I’m unfortunately out of town, hope y’all can show your support for the event!

Don't forget to come out tonight! Vendors will start setting up at 2! R&A Asian Cuisine will be here at 2:30 and The ICE Bowl will be here around 2 with hot chocolate!

WE WILL BE CLOSED AT 5 TODAY!!!! Be sure to get here before 5. Parking will be in the bank parking lot!! To ensure safety of the community, we'll have the entrace/exit blocked off so cars cannot come on the lot.

We have added a pet parade/pet costume contest as well! If you'd like to sign your furbaby up, send us a message!
