Friendly reminder: the parade route has changed slightly for 2026. The parade will stage behind Albany Box Company, east on Tangent Dr, south on Blackberry, east on Birdfoot, south on Old Church, and all the way to the parking lot for the Harves Festival.

All roads will be closed during the parade and will reopen once the parade has concluded.

Last night our FIVE new recruits completed their final check-offs for their academy - live fire in our burn box. This is the largest recruit academy we’ve had in many years and also the first time we’ve had a 100% recruit retention rate in just as long. Congratulations and welcome to our team, guys! 🪓🔥 📸cred to FF Shaw 😎

Together we all can prevent wildfires! Thanks, Smokey, and happy birthday! 🥳

Happy Birthday, Smokey Bear!

Since 1944, you’ve reminded generations that Only You Can Prevent Wildfires. Your message is as important today as ever, especially here in Oregon.

From all of us at the Oregon State Fire Marshal, thank you for being a symbol of wildfire prevention and a true icon. Here's to many more years of spreading awareness!
