We're a busy Los Angeles Public Library branch located at 18231 Ventura Blvd, in Tarzana (corner of Nestle Ave. and Ventura Blvd., between Lindley Ave.
and Reseda Blvd.), on the border between Encino and Tarzana in the San Fernando Valley. One of the busiest branches in the Los Angeles Public Library system, the Encino-Tarzana Branch Library has a collection of over 60,000 books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and audiobooks. The Library has computers for the publics use, as well as online resources, e-books, e-videos, e-audiobooks; and extensive research

On November 6th, the LAPL outreach team and the Encino- Tarzana Library joined the fun at the Canoga Park Dia de Los Mu***os street fair. Pictured here are the amazing teen volunteers Sofia Gevorgian and Tanya Tashan. These young women spent their Sunday helping answer questions about the library, giving out bookmarks and swag, and encouraging new library card sign ups at the LAPL booth. Hurray for our library volunteers who make outreach so fun and effective!

Scavenger Hunt For All Ages:
Calcifer is a fire demon from the anime film, "Howl's Moving Castle". He is hiding in the Encino-Tarzana Library. If you find him, bring him to the Info Desk and win a Calcifer plushie, made by teen volunteers. Then, check out one of our DVD copies of "Howl's Moving Castle" and watch it at home with your new plushie, Calcifer!
