URGENT UPDATE:
Any volunteers between the ages of 14-17 will need a valid work permit. If you have signed up and are between those ages please provide us a copy of your work permit. THANK YOU!
CALLING ALL BOOK LOVERS, STRONG ARMS & COMMUNITY HELPERS! WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER BUT MAYBE NOT COMMIT TO JOINING AN ORGANIZATION RIGHT AT THIS TIME? HERE IS YOUR CHANCE!
The Friends of the Taylor Community Library are getting ready for our LAST Used Book Sale of the year on November 14, and we could use a few extra hands (and muscles)!
We have LOTS of books, and unfortunately, they haven't learned to move themselves yet!
Here's where we need help:
-Friday, November 13 – SETUP DAY!
We need volunteers to help move some fairly heavy boxes of books from our storage room to the Community Rooms, where we'll get everything ready for the big sale. And you can just move boxes or you can also help us set up! We have the rooms reserved for set up from 10am – 6pm; whatever time you have would be great. The morning is really when we need those strong arms!
BONUS! If you're still helping at noon, we'll treat you to pizza and breadsticks! Because moving books works up an appetite!
Saturday, November 14 – TEARDOWN!
Our sale ends at 3 PM, and we'll need some helping hands to pack up and move the remaining books back to storage.
WORK FOR BOOKS!
As a little thank-you, for every hour you volunteer, you can pick out one FREE BOOK to take home! Work 2 hours get two books of your choice! Not a bad deal for book lovers!
You do NOT have to be a member of the Friends to help! Everyone is welcome to help!
LOCAL BUSINESSES & ORGANIZATIONS: Looking for a community service opportunity for your employees or group? We'd love to have you join us! Bring a few coworkers and help support your community library.
Whether you can give us an hour or several, every helping hand makes a difference!
Interested in helping? Please comment below or send us an email to: [email protected] so we can get an idea of how many volunteers to expect.
Help us move some books, enjoy a little pizza, take home a few good reads, and support a great cause!
Many hands make light work... especially when those hands are carrying heavy boxes of books!
