When the former leader of the Illinois House Republicans says his party’s nominee “cannot be trusted to lead our state,” people take notice.

Former House GOP Leader Jim Durkin served alongside Darren Bailey in Springfield—and he’s making it clear that Bailey's divisive politics have no place leading Illinois. Country and state over party.

🌶️ What a weekend at Chillifest! 🥣✨

The Christian County Democrats want to thank everyone who stopped by our booth on the square this past weekend! From catching up with familiar faces to meeting new neighbors, the turnout and energy on the Square were incredible.

Our great Christian County Board candidates met and chatted with possible constituents, discussed their platforms, handed out yard signs, and hopefully earned some votes!

We had 80 people enter into our free raffle, and Linda Moomey won the pumpkin stack and fall wreath, so congratulations, Linda!

A special shoutout to all the volunteers who helped set up, worked shifts, staffed the Chillitent, handed out materials, and kept things running smoothly—we couldn’t have done it without you! 🤝💙

Community traditions like Chillifest remind us what makes Christian County so special. If you stopped by to chat or grab information, thank you for taking the time to connect with us!

We are excited for next year; no matter where Chillifest is, we will be there with an even bigger presence!
