Sheriff Michael Cavins and the Claiborne County Sheriffs Office would like to congratulate seven of our School Resource Officers on successfully completing training in Effective Policing in Autism Response provided by the University of Tennessee Law Enforcement Innovation Center held at the Knoxville Convention Center on October 13th and 14th.

This two day, immersive training is designed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to individuals on the autism spectrum.

Continued training and professional development remain a priority as we work to ensure our officers have the knowledge and skills necessary to serve and protect our community!

We are excited to announce that Claiborne County Schools is one of only EIGHT school districts in Tennessee to receive this special recognition for our commitment to civic education!

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were forever changed. We also honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger and the Americans who showed extraordinary kindness in the days that followed.

May we carry forward the lessons of that day: that freedom is precious, that service matters, and that we are stronger together. We will never forget.

🇺🇸 WELCOME HOME, BULLDOG! 🐾
After spending June 22nd – September 3rd, 2026 away at Army Basic Combat Training, our high school senior is finally HOME! ❤️🇺🇸
While most of his classmates were enjoying their summer, he was working hard, pushing himself, learning discipline, building strength, and answering the call to serve our country. We couldn’t be more proud of the dedication and courage he has shown.
Now, he’s back home and ready to finish his senior year as a Bulldog while continuing his commitment to serve as a member of the Army National Guard on Active Duty. 🎓🇺🇸🐾
We are incredibly grateful for his service, his sacrifice, and the example he is setting for those around him. It takes tremendous character to balance the responsibilities of being a high school student with the commitment of serving our nation.
To say we are proud is an understatement. We are honored to call him a Bulldog, proud to call him one of our own, and grateful to call him a future protector of our freedom.
Welcome home! Now let’s finish this senior year strong! 🎓🐾🇺🇸
Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. 💙🐾
Thank you for your service Johnathon Bradley!
