Claiborne County property owners, the 2022 reappraisal values have been finalized and change notices have been mailed from Nashville today, April 22nd. You should start receiving them by the first of the week of the 25th.

Please take note of the phone number listed on your notice. We will be accepting phone calls April 25TH thru April 29th to discuss VALUE ONLY.

We will not be able to discuss estimated tax amounts due to the fact that the new tax rate has not been established. Attached is a short video regarding the process of establishing the Certified Tax Rate.

Understanding the Certified Tax Rate 04/06/2022

Dear Claiborne County property owners, our county is currently undergoing the state mandated reappraisal process that occurs every 5 years and will be effective January 1st, 2022. Each property owner will receive an assessment change notice in April of 2022, on any property/properties they may own within Claiborne County. The purpose of this is to update values to reflect current market conditions. Please view the short video attached to learn about the Certified Tax Rate Law ( TCA-67-5-1701 & 67-51702) and how the updated values , may or may not affect you.

Tangible Personal Property schedules will be mailed today. Each business in Claiborne County that was open as of January 1st will receive a schedule. Please be aware that the Personal Property schedules are due by March 1st.
