This past Sunday was a busy day at TVAC!

We kicked off the day by welcoming a local Cub Scout troop to our headquarters. The scouts got an up-close look at our ambulances and lifesaving equipment, reviewed important first aid skills, and even earned their First Aid badges!

Later, our members headed to the Teaneck Day Street Fair on Cedar Lane, where we enjoyed connecting with our neighbors from throughout the township.

We wrapped up the day with the spectacular Teaneck Day fireworks display, set to the sounds of Teaneck’s song!

Thank you to Township of Teaneck, NJ (Government) for organizing such a fantastic day and giving us another opportunity to connect with the community we’re proud to serve.

Earlier this week TVAC memebers participated in a mass casualty incident (MCI) training exercise in Paramus. The exercise brought together multiple agencies and approximately 100 first responders from around Bergen County to practice large-scale response to a simulated incident involving numerous patients.

It's always a pleasure to train alongside our partner agencies from around the county. Thank you Paramus Office of Emergency Management for hosting this important drill.

Every year during the month of October our members join millions of people from around the globe to raise awareness about breast cancer. Many of our members will be replacing their normal uniform for pink uniform shirts instead.

On Friday evening crews responded to a reported structure fire on Walden St. Upon arrival BC1 transmitted the working fire which brought the City of Hackensack Fire Department, Englewood Fire, and Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps to the scene.

Firefighters quickly initiated an aggressive fire attack and brought the fire under control.

A second alarm was requested to provide additional manpower and ensure fire protection coverage throughout the township while the 1st Platoon remained committed to the incident.

While crews operated at the scene; Bergenfield and Ridgefield Park along with a Teaneck recall engine responded to a rollover with one patient requiring extrication.

Thank you to mutual aid partners: Hackensack and Englewood who operated on the scene and Leonia, Ridgefield Park, and Bergenfield who covered the Township. Also thanks to Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps who had two ambulances for rehab on the fire scene and also assisted with the extrication along with HNMC Paramedics.
