👀 Save the Date! The 2026 Southern Inyo Fire Protection District fundraiser is going to be out of this world 👽 as we launch our first ever Weird Tales Festival, November 13-14, 2026!

Go with what you know, they say...so this year we're embracing the ✨Weird, Wild and Wonderful✨ with a weekend of tall tales, desert desperados, freaky found art, ghastly ghost stories, curious characters -- and of course a whole lot of community and fun!

🎥 Events kick off Friday, November 13th in Shoshone with the premiere of Ted Faye's latest Weird Tales film, with a reception and director Q&A

🎉 Saturday, November 14th, immerse yourself in Weird Tecopa at our ✨FREE✨ all day event at the Tecopa Community Center:
🎤 All-day entertainment presented by Artesia Belle: open mic, storytelling, music and more!
🎨 Interactive art experience at the Temple of the Weird
💫 Meet and Greet with YouTube's Wonderhussy and friends
🎪 Bizarre Bazaar vendor fair with crafts, food trucks & more
🔥 SIFPD merch, raffle and silent auction fundraiser
🍿 Ted Faye's Weird Tales - 2nd screening under the stars

Bring your best desert story to share, a costume if you dare, and soak in that whacky desert flair at the Weird Tales Festival!
