Calling all fourth graders!

Second Year of Every Kid in a Park Pass for Federal Lands Death Valley National Park encourages all fourth graders to visit the park for free this year as part of the Every Kid in a Park program. The program gives fourth grade students, and those accompanying them, free access to more than 2,000 public lands and waters nationwide for a year.

Badwater Road Repaired and Fully Open Badwater Road is now fully open, connecting Death Valley National Park to the gateway town of Shoshone, California. Work remains to be done in other areas of the park to repair road and infrastructure damage caused by flash floods last October.

The fields around Tecopa are adorned with acres of Desert Gold and Evening Primrose. As the temperatures get warmer the super bloom is moving to higher elevations and the hills and valleys around Tecopa and Shoshone are breathtaking with color.
