Safe Family Justice Centers The SAFE Family Justice Centers are a safe place for victims of abuse in Riverside County to get help and safety services.

We are here to help victims find safety and figure out service options to help them move forward. SAFE Family Justice Center is a nonprofit serving Riverside County with center locations in Temecula, Murrieta, Riverside and Indio. We provide services to children and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child and elder abuse. We also operate many youth violence prevention activities through our Temecula/Murrieta Police Activities League. We provide prevention and intervention services to enable children to grow in violence and abuse free homes. In 2019, Safe Alternatives for Everyone and Riverside County Family Justice Centers merged to become the SAFE Family Justice Centers of Riverside County.

Children don’t have to be the direct targets of domestic violence to be affected by it.

Growing up in a home filled with fear, violence, or intimidation can leave lasting impacts on a child’s emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of safety. Even when children don’t experience abuse firsthand, witnessing it can shape how they see themselves and the world around them.

But those experiences do not have to define their future.

With the right support, children can heal, build resilience, and discover what healthy, loving relationships look like.

At SAFE FJC, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and free to simply be a child.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, help us Keep the Light On for children and families affected by violence. Join our Fill the Gap monthly giving campaign and help ensure families have access to the support they need to heal and move forward. Domestic violence doesn't always leave a visible bruise.

Abuse isn't always physical. Sometimes it's controlling someone's finances, isolating them from friends and family, monitoring their every move, or using threats and intimidation to maintain power and control.

The emotional and psychological effects of abuse can be just as devastating as physical violence, even when there are no visible signs.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we're shining a light on the many forms abuse can take. Because just because you can't see the harm doesn't mean it isn't real.

At SAFE FJC, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and in control of their own life. Our free, confidential services are here for survivors, no matter what form of abuse they've experienced.

Keep the Light On by joining Fill the Gap, SAFE FJC's monthly giving program. Your ongoing support helps ensure survivors have somewhere to turn when they're ready to reach out. Show your support today: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/keepthelighton-dfp/

Leaving an abusive relationship can mean having nowhere safe to sleep. The cost of a hotel, transportation, or basic necessities can put safety out of reach.

At SAFE FJC, we help survivors navigate these barriers. Flexible funding helps us respond when a family needs support right away.

This and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, help us Fill the Gap - so survivors have more options when they need them most.

Donate today: www.safefjc.org/support/ways-to-give/

Today is . Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness, and the majority of victims and survivors identify “access to money” as a barrier to leaving an abuser.

No survivor should ever be forced to stay with an abusive partner just to keep a roof over their head. But every day across the country, local programs and shelters are forced to turn away thousands of survivors in need, because they simply don't have the money, space, or resources to help them all.

Whether we realize it or not, impacted by these challenges. We all deserve to live in safe, well-resourced communities, and victims and their children deserve to know that help will always be available if they need it.

Take an NNEDV Action Alert and tell Congress to properly fund these programs: NNEDV.org/TakeAction

Her husband removed the lightbulbs, knowing their children were afraid of the dark. That night, a mother held her children close in the bathroom and waited for morning.

When they reached SAFE Family Justice Centers, they found free, confidential support and help taking their next steps toward safety. The children also received a night-light, a small comfort after darkness had been used to frighten them.

Your monthly gift helps us respond to what families need: advocacy, safety planning, help navigating resources, and practical assistance that available funding may not cover.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, become a Fill the Gap monthly donor. Help keep the light on for victims and families throughout Riverside County. 💜
