Have ideas for the future of Tempe Town Lake’s north bank? 🌊

The City of Tempe is inviting the community to help shape the next phase of planning for the park space between the Elmore Bridge and the Marina. Proposed concepts include recreation, entertainment, athletic spaces, public art and improvements that support both everyday use and special events.

📅 Tuesday, June 9
🕛 Virtual Meeting: Noon
📍 Open House: 5–7 p.m.
📌 Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway

Can’t attend? A feedback opportunity will be available June 9–30 at Tempe Forum.

Community feedback gathered earlier this year helped shape the concepts being presented, and this next round of input will help guide the future of one of Tempe’s most iconic public spaces. Your voice matters!

This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity, authenticity, and courage that make our community stronger. 🌈

In a time when many people are feeling divided, uncertain, or unheard, Pride reminds us of the power of coming together. It’s a chance to lead with compassion, stand up for one another, and build a community where everyone is seen, valued, and respected.

As Lady Gaga reminds us, we were all born this way, and that’s something worth celebrating. Today and every day, let’s choose unity, kindness, and belonging. ✨

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Caps off to the Class of 2026! 🎓✨

This graduation season has been filled with proud moments, bright futures, and well-earned celebrations.

A special shoutout to the graduates of Corona del Sol High School, where I had the honor of attending the ceremony and personally handing out a few diplomas. Seeing the excitement, determination, and accomplishments of these students was truly inspiring.

Congratulations to all of Tempe’s graduates as you take the next step in your journey. 🌟

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. Today, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, as well as the families who carry that sacrifice every day.

Their courage made our freedoms possible, and their memory deserves more than a moment. 🇺🇸

Last night’s work study was an important conversation about Tempe’s water portfolio and the responsibility we have to plan ahead for future generations 💧🌵

As Arizona continues to face drought challenges and increasing water demands, it’s critical that we remain proactive, invest in resilient infrastructure, and continue finding innovative ways to conserve one of our most precious resources.

I’m grateful for the incredible city staff who work every day to protect and maintain Tempe’s water system, and for the thoughtful discussions on how we continue preparing our community for the future.
