Who says learning has to happen at a desk?

These 5th graders are taking their writing class outside! From crafting sensory descriptions on the playground swings to sidewalk study sessions in the fresh air, they are finding creative new ways to focus.
Combining active movement with descriptive writing is a total game-changer for creativity and energy!

🎉 October is National Principals Month! 🎉

Today, we celebrate Mrs. Schoel and all that she does for Raye-Allen Elementary! 💙🦅

Mrs. Schoel is a leader who focuses on student growth, actively supports her staff, listens with empathy, and communicates expectations clearly. She puts students at the center of every decision and works hard to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where every child feels supported.

One example of how Mrs. Schoel puts our students first is through today’s Little Yellow Library event with VSP Eyes of Hope and the Kendra Scott Foundation. Thanks to this partnership, we received $1,000 worth of new books, and more than 40 students were seen by an optometrist and fitted for glasses! 📚 👓

Thank you, Mrs. Schoel, for leading with heart, supporting our staff, and always putting our students first. We are so thankful for you! 💙🦅

Happy National Principals Month! 🎉
