Our community ofrenda is set up in Hutto and you are invited to take part! Honor the memory of loved ones who have passed on by bringing in a photo, small token, or simply write a memory to place on the altar. (Make sure to label with your name and email so that we can return items to you!)

Ofrendas, or altars, are built inside homes during Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) to welcome back departed spirits and are traditionally decorated with
marigold flowers, food, drink, papel picado, and candles. Photos and personal items help to guide spirits back to their homes to enjoy the offerings left by their loved ones.

No, it's not a Bigfoot skull. That's just one possible ancestor, the now extinct great ape, Gigantopithecus Blacki.

A BIG thank you to Lawrence Burns of the North American Wood Ape Conservancy for his fascinating presentation about his work investigating Bigfoot. Last night, we saw the evidence, heard some thrilling first-hand accounts of encounters, and listened to recordings of suspected Sasquatch activity.

If you missed the presentation, you can still visit the NAWAC website to read eyewitness testimonies, listen to the official podcast, or comb through the treasure trove of evidence at www.woodape.org. And swing by the library to pick up some swag...maybe even join the team...
