Ables Springs SUD is a rural water distribution system providing water to more than 120 square miles located throughout three counties.

As the Ables Springs community’s water sources from the natural springs diminished, the need for potable water became a great concern. Ables Springs Water Supply Corporation was chartered by the State of Texas on April 22, 1964 for the purpose of providing the water needs to the community. January 1, 2016 Ables Springs WSC converted to Ables Springs Special Utility District. To date, Ables Springs
