Learning to budget, and learning when something doesn’t add up!

Today, Community Services Officer Jacob Saad, Officer James Ryser, and Officer Waffles teamed up with Northern Middlesex Regional Emergency Communications Center (NMRECC) dispatchers Rebecca Maccaro and Jill Fiore for the Credit for Life fair at Tewksbury Memorial High School!

As juniors explored the financial decisions that come with adulthood, our public safety booth challenged them to identify scams in different scenarios.

Thank you to Tewksbury Federal Credit Union,
Tewksbury Public Schools, and our dispatch partners for a fun morning helping students build skills they can carry into the real world!

When Boston Police Sergeant John MacLaughlan reached out about joining him for a visit to Building Blocks in Tewksbury, we were happy to take part!

Community Services Officer Jacob Saad and Officer Chris Adams joined Sergeant MacLaughlan to meet the children, talk about what police officers do, and share a few important safety reminders. Together, they discussed wearing a helmet while riding a bike, buckling up in the car, and crossing the street safely.

Officer Adams brought a police motorcycle, and CSO Saad brought a cruiser for the children to see up close. The officers also handed out stickers and giveaways from both the Boston and Tewksbury Police Departments.

Thank you to Sergeant MacLaughlan for including us and to the staff at Building Blocks for the warm welcome! Visits like these help children feel comfortable around police officers while learning habits that keep them safe.
