Sometimes, it’s the little acts of kindness that make the biggest difference. ♥️

Today, we had the pleasure of recognizing Nicole Blackburn for going out of her way to be kind and helpful. Her thoughtfulness is a wonderful reminder that making a positive impact doesn’t always require a grand gesture.

A special thank you to Domino’s Pizza for generously providing student reward certificates that allow us to recognize moments like these. Your support helps us celebrate students who make Texas High a better place, not just through their achievements, but through the way they treat others.

Student voices today. A stronger Texas High tomorrow! 🧡🤍

Today, our Super Tiger Council student leaders had a seat at the table with TISD Superintendent Sherri Penix during our Super Tigers luncheon meeting!

More than just lunch, this was an opportunity for our students to share their perspectives, advocate for meaningful improvements, and have honest conversations about the future of Texas High.

What makes this group so special is that they’re not just thinking about their own high school experience. They’re thinking about the Tigers who will walk these halls long after they’ve graduated.

That’s what leadership is all about! Having the courage to speak up, the vision to see what could be better, and the heart to make a difference for those who come next.

We’re proud of these students for helping shape the future of Texas High, one conversation at a time! 💡🐅

📣 Attendance matters and every class counts! 🧡 Students and families, make sure you know the attendance expectations and how absences can affect course credit, makeup hours, extracurricular events, final exam exemptions, and even your driver’s license eligibility.

⏰ Be in your assigned classroom before the bell rings. Remember, arriving more than 15 minutes late counts as an absence for that period.

***October 1st Update***

The Four States Marching Classic will only be a preliminary round this year, regardless of the weather outcome on Saturday. Our contest workers and volunteers are preparing for potential weather delays, and we need to ensure our participating bands have the opportunity to perform their show for our judges without worrying about a late-night Finals round. Most of the performing times have shifted back by 15 minutes.

We will continue to actively monitor the weather today and tomorrow. If the weather forecast chances strengthen or remain consistent throughout the entirety of Saturday, we will announce a cancellation early tomorrow afternoon. Emails have been sent out to participating directors.

Thank you all for your patience with the planning of our competition this year! Our hope is that the weather lightens up on Saturday for all of our participating bands to put on their performances!

🦸🏽‍♀️ Calling all Texas High parents and families! 🦸🏽‍♂️

Region 8 ESC is hosting Superheroes Raising Super Students on Saturday, October 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Pittsburg, TX. Families can take part in workshops, interactive activities, breakout sessions, and receive resources designed to help support student success both at home and at school. Plus, lunch is FREE!

A special pre conference for multilingual families begins at 9:00 a.m.
