The 28th Annual Money for Meals campaign runs November 2–13, 2026! Join DJHS in helping Dickinson ISD reach its district goal of $25,000 to benefit the M.I. Lewis Social Service Center.

M.I. Lewis supports families and staff living within Dickinson ISD boundaries with food, utilities, emergency rent, hygiene items, and more.

💵 Every $1 donated helps M.I. Lewis purchase $10 worth of food through the Galveston County Food Bank!

📐🐊 Math is on display at DJHS! 💙🤍

Our 8th-grade mathematicians brought linear equations to life with a Linear Equations Gallery Wall! Students created and analyzed representations of linear relationships, connecting equations, graphs, tables, and real-world situations while displaying their thinking for their classmates to explore.

This activity supports 8th Grade Math TEKS 8.4, which focuses on using multiple representations to develop a deeper understanding of proportional and non-proportional linear relationships. By seeing different approaches displayed side by side, students can make connections, compare strategies, and strengthen their understanding of slope, rate of change, and linear equations.

Learning is even better when we can learn from one another! 🧠📈

🐊🥔 DJHS GATORS, IT'S TIME TO GET CREATIVE! 🥔🐊

Our Chip Into Creativity Library Challenge is underway, and we've got a VERY special guest joining the fun! 👩‍🍳🎉

🎥 Check out this special message from local celebrity Chef Mary Bass! She's agreed to bring our winning students' chip flavors to LIFE by making their creations and bringing them to DJHS! 🤩
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO CHEF MARY BASS and her team for collaborating with DJHS students!

Students are challenged to invent an original chip flavor (made from ANYTHING!), design their own chip bag, and write a persuasive pitch convincing us why their chips should be the next big snack!

🎨 Get creative! Hand-drawn or AI-generated artwork is welcome!

✏️ Persuasive writing must be 100% student-created—NO AI!

📄 Keep it simple or go all out! Projects can be submitted on printed paper, cardstock, poster board, or even regular notebook paper. We care about creativity, not fancy supplies!

🙌 Participation is completely optional, and students do NOT need to make actual chips!

📅 ALL ENTRIES DUE NOVEMBER 4!

Students are learning about the challenge during their library visits, but there's no need to wait to get started!

We already have some hilarious and wildly creative ideas rolling in, and we can't WAIT to see what our Gators dream up!
