THE COUNTDOWN IS HERE!!!! ONLY 10 DAYS UNTIL the 1867 Settlement Historical District 10th Annual Fall Communitywide Celebration hosted by the African American Historic Preservation Committee in partnership with the City of Texas City.

Guests include Mary E. Dynes, author of the children’s books, “The Great Wave,” a fun and adventurous story about two friends' trip to the beach, and “Oh Boy! Will Mama Bear Be Upset?” a heartwarming lesson in forgiveness and love when Mama Bear returns with understanding instead of anger.

We look forward to everyone coming out to share in this communitywide event! There will be plenty of fun, food and festivities for the entire family.
