🎟️FREE EVENT - This Wednesday!

This Wednesday, a group of local business owners will pitch their ideas for a chance to win money for their business. There are no sharks -- and not even any of our beloved stingrays -- but the opportunity is just as real.

In the "Life's a Pitch" event, hosted by Texas City Economic Development Corporation, each entrepreneur will present their businesses to a panel of judges. And just like you've seen on TV, the judges can ask questions and give feedback, and, in the end, some of the participants will walk away with a cash prize to invest in their business.

Come cheer on these local business owners as their dreams take center stage!

The evening starts at 5 p.m., with a business expo/market. Each participant will have a booth space, where you can learn more about their products or services.

Then, at 6 p.m., the competition begins.

Afterwards, all of the business owners will officially graduate the Mortar program, a 15-week entrepreneurship academy in partnership with Vision Galveston, in a ceremony that will start at 7:30 p.m.

It's all happening this Wednesday, April 29 at the Showboat, and everyone is invited. Enjoy a free taco bar and get to know some of the talented people behind small businesses in our community!
