Pregnant Air Force pilot Major Lauren Olme, takes to the skies in supersonic bomber with her husband Major Mark Olme. Due to a new Air Force policy last year Major Olme was allowed to continue to pilot while pregnant. The Air Force policy allows aircrew members to voluntarily request to continue to fly while pregnant. Lauren was able to continue to fly next to her husband while also flying with the next generation of bomber pilot at supersonic speeds.

My name is A1C Timothy Kim. I joined the United States Air Force at the end of 2021. Earlier that year I had graduated Syracuse University and for a short time afterwords I was working for a Korean production company.

What I have learned from the Air Force is that it is a very “what have you done for me lately” organization. What I mean by that is that the USAF is always looking ahead. It means that you can’t rest on your laurels.

However, what that also means is that any past failures is just that, in the past and that the only thing stopping you from new success is yourself. That type of culture has introduced lessons of both resiliency and constant motivation. The USAF has clearly defined universal goals for all Airman I will try to achieve. Which means completing my Career Development Courses , competing for SrA below the zone, and testing for Staff Sergeant as soon as I am able.

Any goals beyond that is on yourself, using the tools, discipline, and opportunities the Air Force has instilled and given you.  For myself that means to apply to medical school and hope to attend by Fall of 2025, when my service obligation ends.

Hello my name is Amn Shawn Proeve. Before the Air Force, I was working at JFK airport as a baggage handler and a wheelchair agent.

The reason I joined is because I wanted to travel plus I wanted better for myself and the Air Force was the best option for me. What I learn thus far from the Air Force is the importance of discipline and the wingman policy.

My goals for the next couple of years is to obtain a car, get my bachelor degree and travel overseas.

Hi my name is Jordan Robinson and I'm an Airman first class in the United States Airforce. Before I joined I was a “shut-in”, I would stay home and play video games and was frankly pretty lazy.

I wanted to make a change and do something to help out my family so I texted a Air Force recruiter and before I knew it I was on my way to Basic training. After I graduated I went to to technical school to learn about my career as a Helicopter/ Tilrotor maintenance apprentice. I was able to meet new people, I learned to communicate better and I learned more about the world around me. I still have room to mature and grow as a person and hopefully next time you hear from me I'll be a Lieutenant.

Wish me luck !

Before joining the AirForce I was working as my mothers assistant for her business.

The AirForce has taught me to be more vocal, have better time management, focus on the bigger picture to make it through the challenges and the importance of making friends. I look forward to making more connections, traveling and collecting awards, coins and ranks in the next coming years.

I am A1C Vargas-Bedoya. I joined the Air Force one year ago. Before joining I was a security guard in the Bronx.

I am currently working in aerospace propulsion. My career has taught me the value of teamwork. My jet troops look out for each other not just on the job but also off it.

I will use my tuition assistance to knock out my college goals in the next couple of years. Down the line I plan to own house.

Hello my name is Airman First Class Damani Robinson.

I joined the United States Air-force back in February of 2022 out of Mount Vernon, NY.

Before joining the Airforce I was working overnight at a general merchandise retailer store. I joined the Air Force because I wanted to make a difference. Since entering the Airforce I have learned the core values, leadership, and how to fix the Airforce Jets!

For the next couple of years I want to start my college career and study construction engineering. I also would like to make Staff Seargant and continue to rank up in my Airforce journey.

Prior to enlisting into the Airforce , I worked full-time at a furniture store where I fixed broken merchandise and built new furniture.

While working there, I realized I was capable of much more than just pushing furniture. From there I enlisted with TSgt Rivas and secured Aircraft Hydraulic Systems as my career field. Within six months of training, I saw myself maturing significantly. I surrounded myself with the prosperous and the hard-workers that aspired me to aim higher. My technical school instructors would also get me started on the right foot. They made me privy to the opportunities that would arise in the next couple years if I planned carefully.

In the next 8 years, I hope to achieve the rank of Senior Airman early and attain a 7-skill level in my current career. I then plan on cross training into Aerospace Propulsion and achieving a 7-skill level from there.
