We are proud to welcome Squad - 4 to our fleet. Built on a Ford F-550 chassis, the squad carries rescue equipment, EMS equipment, a 300-gallon water tank, and firefighting capabilities to support our crews as they serve our community.

This project was made possible through the support and partnership of many people:

• Our citizens — thank you for your continued trust and support of your fire department.
• Our City Council and City Manager — thank you for supporting this investment in our department’s readiness and our community’s safety.
• Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management - OEM — thank you for donating the cab and chassis, providing the foundation for this project.
• Alpha One Firetrucks LLC — thank you for bringing our vision to life. Your team did an amazing job turning our ideas into a squad built for our department and community. You were great to work with throughout the process!
• Our department members — thank you for the work that went into preparing, equipping, and placing this squad in service.

We’re grateful for everyone who helped bring this project together and proud to put this equipment to work for The Village!

Vigilant in readiness, Fearless in response, Devoted to serving our community.

🔥🚒 Fire Prevention Month is Here! 🚒🔥

October brings one of our favorite times of the year, Fire Prevention Month!

Today, our Fire Marshal and crews had the opportunity to visit Hupfeld Fine Arts Academy to share some important fire safety lessons while having a little fun along the way.

From learning what to do during a fire emergency to meeting the firefighters and getting an up-close look at the equipment they use, these visits give us a chance to make fire safety something kids can remember and take home to their families.

A big thank you to the students and staff at Hupfeld Fine Arts Academy for welcoming us! We have plenty more Fire Prevention Month fun ahead. 🔥🧯🚒

🎨🚒 Fire Safety, Community & a Little Fun! 🚒📸

Your Village Fire Department was well represented at the Village Arts Festival, spreading community awareness and showing our support for the Village Arts Association!

Of course, firefighters rarely pass up an opportunity to have a little fun. When we spotted the photo booth provided by OKCPhotos.com, the crew did what firefighters do best… jumped right in and posed for a few pictures! 😂📸

We always enjoy opportunities to get out of the station, meet members of our community, and support the organizations that make The Village such a great place to call home.

Thank you to The Village Arts Association for another great event, and to everyone who stopped by to visit with us!

Fire Safety Meets Workplace Wellness!

The Village Fire Department was excited to be invited to the Love’s Benefits, Wellness & Safety Fair to spend some time talking about risk reduction with employees!

We put their fire safety knowledge to the test. Employees learned where to keep a fire extinguisher in the home, when it is appropriate to use one.

We also challenged everyone to
“Spot the Fire Hazards”
From overloaded outlets and space heaters to blocked exits and other everyday hazards, there were plenty of things hiding in plain sight. 👀🔥

Fire prevention starts with recognizing a hazard before it ever becomes an emergency, and opportunities like this let us turn a few minutes of conversation into knowledge someone can take home to their family.

A big thank you to Love's for inviting us and for making safety part of the conversation!

When our crews are out and we overhear there’s a chance to make a quick stop to help make one young firefighter fan’s 3rd birthday a little more memorable we jump at the chance.

The birthday crew got an up close look at the fire engine, met some of our firefighters, and explored the big red truck and its tools for themselves. Sometimes the smallest stops create the biggest smiles!

Happy 3rd Birthday from all of us at The Village Fire Department! Thanks for letting us crash the party. 🚒🎉

🇺🇸 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb 🇺🇸

This week, members of The Village Fire Department climbed in remembrance of the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

The climb is more than a physical challenge. Each step is an opportunity to remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who entered the World Trade Center that morning knowing others were depending on them.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to service by carrying their memory forward.

For those of us in the fire service, September 11 is also a reminder of the promise shared across generations of firefighters: we will never forget those who came before us.

We climb because they climbed.
We remember because their sacrifice deserves to be remembered.

343. Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸🚒

25 years!

A quarter-century has passed, yet the images, the stories, and the acts of courage from that day remain deeply woven into the history of our nation and the fire service.

We remember the people who lost their lives. We remember the 343 firefighters who answered the call and did not return home. We remember the police officers, paramedics, military personnel, dispatchers, civilians, and countless others who ran toward danger, helped strangers, and served in the days, months, and years that followed.

For an entire generation, September 11 is now history learned through photographs, classrooms, and the stories of those who lived it. That makes our responsibility to remember even greater.

Twenty-five years later, we honor their courage, their sacrifice, and the unity our nation found in one of its darkest moments.

From all of us at The Village Fire Department, we remember.

September 11, 2001
Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸

🚒☀️ Summer Camp + Fire Safety = A Great Day! ☀️🚒

We had a wonderful time visiting the Chabad Community Centers Summer Camp to share a little fire safety and a lot of fun!

Our firefighters talked with the campers about staying safe, gave everyone a tour of the fire engine, and let each child climb inside to see what it’s like to ride in a real fire truck. To top it all off, we wrapped up the visit the best way we know how… with the lights flashing, sirens sounding, and plenty of smiling faces waving goodbye. 🚨👋

Thank you to the campers and staff for making us feel so welcome. We love opportunities like these to connect with our community, build friendships, and inspire the next generation while sharing important fire safety lessons.

We hope everyone has a fun and safe summer!
