Huge congratulations to our wonderful Library Manager, Laci Martinez, for being selected for the Houston Business Journal’s 2026 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 series!🎉 Thank you to the Houston Business Journal for this recognition! With 28 years of library experience, Laci brings so much heart, creativity, and steady leadership to Brady Library. Since opening in September 2025, the branch has taken off--doubling foot traffic and welcoming around 1,300 visitors a day. It’s officially the busiest branch in the Montgomery County Memorial Library System, and her leadership is a big part of that success.

Laci's guidance has been pivotal in continuing to expand Brady Library's impact in our community through creative programming, strong community partnerships, and enhanced services. Highlights from this past year alone include a 42% increase in overall programming, a remarkable 157% growth in adult programs, and an expanded collection approaching 100,000 items.📚

This recognition is so well deserved and we are all so proud to call you our leader—congratulations, Laci!❤️

The manager of the new Kevin Brady Library in The Woodlands credits her cancer diagnosis with giving her the confidence boost to lead the Montgomery County library system's busiest branch. >> See the full article below ⬇️

Innovation Lab Specialist, Austin Chandler, and the MCMLS team had a blast yesterday speaking to over 2,500(!) junior high kids at the 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙧 with Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce!🎉 While the MCMLS team shared about working at the library, Austin answered many questions about his job as an Innovation Lab Specialist at Brady Library. He loved sharing his experience working with 3D printers and other makerspace equipment as well as our Podcast Studio--he was in his element! PSST! His guitar body is 3D printed as well!😍

From the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce: "The Youth to Career Fair is a dynamic, hands-on career exploration event designed to inspire thousands of Junior High students from across our region. Hosted by the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce and presented by Rave Financial Credit Union, this immersive experience broadens horizons and opens doors to the many career opportunities available right here in our own backyard."

Happy National Friends of Libraries Week!🩷🎉 This week, we’re celebrating our incredible volunteers with the South Montgomery County Friends of the Library for their tireless support of our Woodlands Libraries. Funds raised through the shops directly support our programming and help us grow and refresh our book collection.

To all our Friends of the Library: thank you for your unwavering support and friendship. Our library is better because of you!🫶📚

If you’d like to be a part of this support, consider donating your clean, like-new books to the Brady Bookshop. Your donations help keep the shop thriving and, in turn, support the library!🎉

We're struggling.🫶🏼😅

[VIDEO] Caption: "When the IT manager is on vacation." Two employees listen to audio instructions to fix a laptop. The audio tells them not to unplug a black plug after an employee has already done so. They quickly replug it back in and the audio instructions them not to do that as well.

It's National I Love Lucy day! On this day back in 1951 (a mere 75 years ago!!), this iconic television show premiered on CBS. Who's still watching in 2026? It still holds up! ❤️
