Just a haphazard/makeshift photo montage of the recent LV Fall Festival, 2026. ✨ I known that I missed out on making my rounds to all the vendors, food and drink stalls, demonstrations, music performances, and petting zoo, but here are a handful of shots from the fun time we did have!! 😉☺️😉 You know it’s tough to both enjoy and soak up the excitement, plus, remember to take pictures. 🤣🤣🤣 Although, I must say we had wonderful weather, positive vibe, festive atmosphere, interesting drink/food/snack options, an array of arts/crafts, and of course surrounded by history and community… ✨ One of the best possible vendor turnouts, possibly ever… And we even had a LV Village tour given. ✨ Many thanks to our diehard volunteers - We absolutely could not operate without. You know who you are. Until next time…

The original Snapper mower, called the Snappin’ Turtle 🐢, morphed from what you see here, as a late 1940s “self-propelled” walking mower… and I might add, it goes in reverse 🔄 (quite fancy for that time)… into what most of us are familiar with: the Snapper Riding Lawnmower. 🌱🍃 Personally, I know that I spent hundreds of hours of my youth cutting grass on an early, 1990s riding Snapper lawnmower. Thanks again Mr Bud for the demonstration and educating us.

Mr Bud and his 1976, Economy Tractor 🚜 - - Complete with horn! 😉 Mr Bud let me drive it around before they loaded up their demonstration equipment and tractor!! I had so much fun chatting… And I learned a great deal. I appreciate the fact that you guys are keeping this type of technology alive, refurbishing and rebuilding older technology with your club… The Bayou Old Time Engine & Power Association, Inc. Once again, thanks for being a part of this effort Ian Armstrong. Glad you help your Grandfather and you can have quality time doing educational demonstrations and learning/teach about vintage technology, engines, and mechanics. 🧰 🛠️ 🚜 we appreciate you joining us at the recent Laurel Valley Fall Festival.

✨ Beautiful sinker cypress boat, vintage/antique motor, and custom boat trailer! ✨ Please see prior videos for more information about this specific type of boat, regional transportation history, and how it was used in the bayous and swamps of southern Louisiana… Plus, a bit of a discussion regarding the engine itself. ✨ Thanks again Audie Taquino & Bud Bordelon! We appreciate you, Audie, for bringing your lovely boat “Pearl” to share with us at the recent Laurel Valley Fall Festival.

I had a great time visiting with Mr Bud Bordelon (President) and Audie Taquino (Secretary/Treasurer)… ✨ I was completely blown 🤯 away by how much these guys know and of course how much they love ❤️ sharing their enjoyment of all things “engine related”! ✨ I learned a great deal about an array of engines, local history, boat building, bayou and swamp transportation, lumber and mill industry, vintage lawnmowers, and we cut up and shared numerous laughs!! ✨ And thanks Ian Armstrong for the muscle 💪 and being an honorary member… such a great sport!! 😉 The Bayou Old Time Engine & Power Association, Inc has been showcasing historic and vintage technology, equipment, tractors, boats, and engines of all sorts for several decades here at Laurel Valley festivals and at other local and regional events. Audie Taquino I couldn’t find Mr. Bud or Ian‘s Facebook, so if anybody sees this, please let them know and tag them. ✨ I appreciate your patience with getting these videos and photos edited and posted… I just had a backlog of work . ✨ And please check back, because I will post several other videos and photo groupings of their fascinating demonstrations! So educational and fun! 🤩 Keep up the great work guys and I’ll see you next time… We appreciate you all keeping our history alive! ✨ ☺️😊☺️ Also, thanks Mr Bud for letting me drive the little red lawnmower around… 🤣🤣🤣 PS: They’re open and receptive to a new membership, so get in touch with them…
