TREE BOARD & GIRL SCOUTS CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY.
The Tree Board was happy to partner with Girl Scout Troop 23019 in celebrating Arbor Day. The celebration began at the GS Hut in Weaver Park. The Ceremony included a Proclamation and Presentation of Badges by Mayor J.D. Stallings. There was also a presentation on the history of the Troop, provided by Jamesan Gramme, Director of the Thomaston-Upson Archives. The group then moved outside to plant a tree in the park. The Scouts got actively involved in planting the tree, assisted by Public Works Director Kyle McGee.

THE TREE BOARD AT THE ART & SOUL FESTIVAL.
Following our tradition of recent years, the Thomaston Tree Board participated in the fun of this spring festival by giving away tree saplings, in partnership with the Georgia Forestry Commission. There were also fun art activities and great tree information. A good time was had by all!

City to Establish Tree Removal Assistance Fund.

CELEBRATING GEORGIA ARBOR DAY!

We celebrated Georgia's Arbor Day on a soggy Saturday with a tree give-away at the Greatest Generation Park.
