Thomas County Democrats put in the work this year. Last night, Thomas County showed up to finish it.

We kept pulling out more tables because this community is ready to turn Thomas County blue. More than 100 neighbors packed the room to shake hands, talk about what this county needs, and hear why we cannot lose steam now.

We had captivating speeches from Jon Wood for Thomas County Commissioner District 6, the clear choice for County Commission District 6.Adam Chitwood District 173 Campaign Updates, our nominee for State House District 173. Nate Tyler, Thomas County NAACP Chair. A humbling introduction from County Commissioner District 1, Pastor Rich. And a close from our longtime Congressman Sanford Bishop, who put it plainly: politics is about who gets what, when, and how.

We organized. We showed up. Now it is time to vote. Early voting starts October 13. Our ticket is strong from the top of the ballot to the bottom. Vote blue all the way down and help turn Thomas County blue.

Special thanks to Receptions For You for the amazing venue and staff.

This year, Thomas County Democrats stopped waiting for someone else to show up. We showed up. We showed out. And we built a community while we did it.

What we did:

• January 20 — Walk Out at the Courthouse
• February 2 — Year-long billboard campaign. Truth and hard conversations, right here in Thomasville
• February 28 — Marched in the Thomasville Black History Parade
• Every week — Second Cup. Community over coffee at local businesses
• March 23 — Hosted the first of three Film Noir series
• March 28 — No Kings III
• April 18 — Water table at the Rose City 10K
• May 28 — Keisha Lance Bottoms joined us for a special primary stop
• June 12 — Co-hosted Thomasville’s first Pride rally with Rose City Humanity
• June 27 — Boosted the Thomasville Juneteenth celebration
• August 1 — Showed up for Thomas County at the State Convention
• September 11 — Donated school supplies to local schools, from the party and our candidates
• September 16 — Kicked off canvassing across Thomas County
• September 26 — Get the Flock Out rally
• Two young local candidates stepped up: Adam Chitwood District 173 Campaign Updates and Jon Wood for Thomas County Commissioner District 6
• First Tuesday of every month — monthly meetings, where the plans turn into action
• Third Thursday of every month — Libations for casual conversations and refreshments

That’s how you turn a county. Not with a slogan. By neighbors who keep showing up.

Tuesday is the Election Kickoff meeting. Join us at 6 p.m. at Receptions For You and hear from candidates ready to fight for this county, including special guest Congressman Sanford Bishop.

Trump isn’t on the ballot. He said so himself…then told his crowd to pretend he is.

Our new billboard puts it plainly: Trump isn’t on the ballot. Your morals are.

He asked voters to treat November like a referendum on him. Fine. Take him at his word. The people who enable him are on the ballot, in Congress, in the Governor’s race, and right here in the Georgia House.

They vote with him. They defend him. They will keep doing it if we send them back.

This election is about whether full-time work still gets you a decent life, whether rural schools and teachers get what they need, whether your family makes its own medical decisions, and whether Thomas County’s voice counts. That is a moral choice, not a party slogan.

Vote blue. Every race. Every ballot.

Important dates for Thomas County:

• Register by Monday, October 5
• Early voting: October 13–30 (any early-voting site in the county; Saturdays included)
• Absentee request deadline: Friday, October 23
• Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. (in line by 7 still votes)

Check your registration, sample ballot, and polling place at mvp.sos.ga.gov. Bring photo ID.

He asked you to pretend he’s on the ballot. We don’t have to pretend. His enablers are. Show up.
